Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits and BrandMuscle Offer SpotMenus™ Digital Menu Platform to Restaurants and Bars in More Than 40 States
Helping On-Premise Customers Reopen for Business Under New COVID-19 State Guidelines

Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits (Southern Glazer’s), the world’s pre-eminent distributor of beverage alcohol, has launched a new initiative with BrandMuscle, a leader in local marketing and the nation’s largest menu producer, to provide SpotMenus, a digital menu platform serving up more than 1 million menus per week, to restaurants and bars that have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Establishments served by Southern Glazer’s can now opt-in to the SpotMenus platform to deploy digital versions of wine and spirits menus that Southern Glazer’s provides in compliance with state laws. BrandMuscle will also directly offer the SpotMenus platform for establishments to upload food menus so that guests have an easy, sanitary way to use their personal mobile devices to instantly view all menus at these locations. Establishments that join the SpotMenus program will receive a welcome kit with QR-code signage for use at the establishment that, when scanned with any smartphone camera, instantly display menus without the need for sign-up or downloads. They will also receive access to the new waitlist and reservations feature, which helps establishments adhere to low-density dining requirements and manage guests waiting for a table.

To sign up for Southern Glazer’s SpotMenus program (for Southern Glazer’s customers only) visit: https://spotmenus.com/sgws

Frequently Asked Questions

According to federal and state laws, food and beverage distributors are considered Essential Critical Infrastructure. Therefore, Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits is considered an essential business and continues to remain open and operating, even in markets with “shelter in place,” curfews, or other business closure orders.

Our Order Desks, Inside Sales group, Customer Service representatives, and SGProof e-commerce sites (where available) are all open and active—and our sales professionals remain available to serve you as market conditions allow.

We have instructed many of our employees who can work remotely to do so. This remote workforce, including our sales personnel, continues to actively support every function of our business and service customers. For those employees on the frontline who continue to report to work at our distribution centers and make customer deliveries, we have increased the frequency of cleaning and sanitization at our facilities and of our delivery vehicles, following Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) protocols for COVID-19. We have also modified many policies and practices in our operations to reduce our employees’ risk of exposure to the virus including implementing stop and drop rules for drivers, enhanced cleaning of shared equipment in the warehouses and of our fleet, and adjustments to our merchandising programs. In addition, we are promoting social distancing and reinforcing our policy that if at any time an employee should feel sick, or exhibit symptoms of COVID-19, they must STAY HOME.

We have implemented a mandatory Drop and Go policy for all Southern Glazer’s drivers across our entire network, not only to protect this critical frontline workforce, but to also minimize contact with your store employees. This policy includes not requiring customer signatures on invoices to minimize contact with paper and other devices, identifying a dedicated delivery location and clear 10 to 20-foot radius around that area, and maintaining the CDC recommended 6-foot social distance guidelines. By abiding by these guidelines and supporting our drivers, we will be better able to continue to safely serve you all as we work through this unprecedented difficult period.

We request that you notify us in the event if ANY of your employees are diagnosed with COVID-19. Should you have a positive COVID-19 case at a location we are serving, please contact us at coronaviruscustomer@sgws.com with the location, store name or number and estimated diagnosis date.

During these uncertain times online ordering via our SG Proof platform is a great way to get the SGWS products your business needs. Proof makes it easy — search and order thousands of SGWS products on your schedule. Additionally, we have features to make managing your business more efficient. Features include:

  • 24-month invoice history;
  • View Open Orders;
  • Access to All SGWS Deals;
  • Access to your whole SGWS team; and
  • Setup different roles for your business – Administrator, buyer, etc.

Visit https://about.sgproof.com/ to learn more.

In addition, our Order Desks, Inside Sales group, Customer Service representatives, and SGProof e-commerce sites (where available) are all open and active—and our sales professionals remain available to serve you as market conditions allow.
